ESTANCIA LOS POTREROS, CÓRDOBA, ARGENTINA

This fabulous property is located a few hours drive from Cordoba City. A stay at the Estancia is usally an Add on to touring Argentina, speak with me about adding 4-5 nights to a Patagonia experience,, but be warned, everyone says they didn’t stay long enough here,  Ed

Trail riding is tailored to suit ability and the hills provide a surprising variety of landscapes and terrain. Rocky outcrops give way to open hillsides. Hidden valleys lead to tumbling waterfalls and wooded paths. Trails take you to swimming holes and spectacular viewpoints, or further afield to neighbouring lands that offer a glimpse of rural life, past homesteads, churches and remote schools.

If you have ever wanted to ‘ride like a gaucho’ now is your chance.

Riding with us is an experience not to be missed, whatever your ability. Our horses are ridden ‘gaucho style’, in a relaxed manner with loose reins, which is very intuitive and easy to pick up. Each with their own charming personality, our horses take on the task of ensuring each guest has a thoroughly enjoyable and memorable experience. We’re proud to say that ‘The World’s Best Riding’ (Real Travel) and ‘The Most Inspiring Horse Rides Around the World’ (The Huffington Post) are just a couple of the many accolades Estancia Los Potreros has received in recognition of the first class riding on offer.

Don´t miss the opportunity to experience one of the most favoured Argentine national pastimes – eating and drinking.

Argentine Malbec is legendary and best enjoyed with the traditional ‘asado’ – a beef-based barbeque, often comprising many courses and often lasting many hours.

Kevin doesn’t need much prompting to share his appreciation of Argentine wines – he often hosts informal and interactive wine-tastings. Likewise, ‘Pato’, who has been the estancia cook for over 15 years, loves to invite guests into the gorgeous farm kitchen to learn how to make traditional favourites such as empanadas and homemade breads and pastas.

Why I love ESTANCIA LOS POTREROS,

this is a working farm, and a boutique accomodation experience, Mealtimes are one of the highlights of a stay with Louisa, Kevin and staff.
They are always sociable affairs. Lunches and dinners are taken together at a ‘family’ table and hosted by one, or both of us, and dishes are European in style, varied and delicious, with plenty of excursions into local favourites. You’ll get to experience the traditional Argentine ‘asado’ or barbeque, plus freshly baked bread and homemade dishes, all supplemented by the estancia’s home-reared beef and organically grown vegetables, fruit and free-range eggs. We also can’t wait for you to try Estancia Los Potreros’s ‘own label’ wines, which often accompany some great conversations, well into the night.

Adding Estancia Los Potreos to your Argentina trip will be a memory you will share with friends forever ~ Ed
